Mother's Day Gift Baskets
If you want to show your mother how much you love and appreciate her, you may want to do it with a Mother's Day gift basket. A Mother's day gift basket shouldn't be too hard to choose or make as most people know what their mothers like to eat and drink and know what their mother's favorite hobbies and interests are. If you are thinking about what particular theme you may want to use for your Mother's Day gift basket it shouldn't be a problem. Is she a career woman? Perhaps she spends a lot of time in the kitchen or the garden? You can cover all of the bases by including fun, practical, delicious and pampering items for your mother.
Once you have a list of your mother's favorite things it should be fun for you to come up with a suitable gift basket for her. You could design a gift basket with items such as spa products, gardening sets, fresh flower arrangements and gourmet chocolates. You could perhaps start at the bottom of your Mother's Day gift basket with an apple or pear shaped wire basket or a giant salad bowl or platter. This is a practical idea, as your mother will be left with a wonderful reusable item once the gift is used. Snacks are useful for women on the go to get them through a long day. You could add gourmet flavored, fat free pretzels or chips. Other fat free snacks could include crackers with peach or garden salsa or a tomato based spread.
If your mother is conscious of her health, you could add a line of organic snacks such as corn chips, black beans, sunflower seeds and low fat yogurt. If your mother has a sweet tooth, you could go with cookies and chocolate. If she loves to garden you may want to add small items to the basket such as gardening tools and seeds. If you need a sweet and salt mix, you could try something like a chocolate covered pretzel. If it is candy your mother loves, you can choose items such as wine gums, jellybeans and jawbreakers, while natural sweets could include an assortment of jams. Cheese and fruit are always favorites and another good idea is to include various spices, sauces and dressings and then give your mother some idea of how to use them by adding a recipe book. If you were a wild-child to raise, why not send a bottle of your Mother's favorite wine with a note saying I bet you needed this when I was growing up. Don't forget that Mother's Day can also be an ideal time to give a gift basket to your sister, wife, and grandmother and of course your mother-in-law too.
